Become an Alumni Mentor!

Share your experience with the next generation of healthcare providers and researchers through one of our mentorship opportunities.

The UC Irvine Patient and Community Centered Clerkship (PACE) is looking for mentors for future Physicians. UC Irvine’s PACE program is a longitudinal clinical experience for 1st and 2nd year medical students, who work weekly with primary care providers to develop clinical skills in patient care. Our Preceptors help strengthen students’ skills and confidence as they prepare for clinical clerkships. They also serve as a part of the centerpiece for a patient-centered medical curriculum at UCI.

PACE 1 takes place from February through May, and students return for PACE 2 from August through December. These students have protected time on Wednesdays to attend a half-day clinic.

As a thank you to our Preceptors, you will receive the following:

  • UC Irvine Volunteer Faculty Appointment
  • Access to UC Irvine Library Services
  • Eligibility for 15 CME Category 1 credits during PACE 1 and an additional 15 CME Category 1 credits during PACE 2
